Abstract
İnsanı ve onun hayatını şekillendiren değerler Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından doğrudan (değerler eğitimi dersi gibi dersler aracılığıyla) ya da dolaylı olarak (yani örtük bir şekilde) yazılan ders kitapları aracılığı ile öğrencilere kazandırılır. Değerlerin öğrencilere kazandırılmasına kaynaklık eden psikoloji dersi ve ders kitabı bunlardan biridir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın amacı, ortaöğretim psikoloji ders kitabındaki değerlerin analizi ve bu analizlerin değerlendirilmesidir. Yapılan bu çalışmada 25 değer belirlenmiş ve psikoloji ders kitabı bu değerler çerçevesinde taranarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda; kitapta doğa, sorumluluk, çalışkanlık, sevgi, estetik, mutluluk, aile gibi değerlere geniş bir şekilde yer verildiği görülmüştür. En az yer verilen değerler ise temizlik, misafirperverlik, vatanseverlik, barış, alçakgönüllük, yardımlaşma ve dayanışma gibi değerlerdir. Ayrıca psikoloji ders kitabındaki konular düşünüldüğünde aile, sevgi, mutluluk, çalışkanlık gibi değerlerin kitapta fazla yer alması doğal bir sonuç olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Araştırmanın sonucu gösteriyor ki ders kitapları öğrencilere değerlerin öğretilebileceği önemli kaynaklardır. Bu nedenle ders kitaplarında daha fazla değere yer vermek için gerekli çalışmalar yapılması önerilmektedir.

Abstract
The values shaping human being and his life are attained to students either directly by the Ministry of Education (by means of such courses as values education) or indirectly (in other words implicitly) by the coursebooks written. The course of psychology and the coursebook of psychology, which are the bases of making students attain these values, is one of them. In this sense, the purpose of the current study is to analyse the values in the secondary education psychology coursebook and evaluate these analyses. In this study, 25 values were determined and psychology coursebook was scanned in terms of these values and analysed. At the end of the research, it was found that such values as nature, responsibility, industriousness, compassion, aesthetic, happiness and family were given a big place. Those given the least place were cleanliness, hospitality, patriotism, peace, humility, helping each other and solidarity. In addition, when it comes to the subjects in the psychology coursebook, it is thought that giving more place to such values as family, compassion, happiness and industriousness is a natural result. The result of the study shows that coursebooks are important sources where students can be taught these values. For that reason, it is recommended that necessary studies should be carried out to give more values in the coursebooks.
