Abstract
Mimarlık yapmak, mesleğin temellerinden başlayarak ve ölçekli bir site modelinin üretimiyle doruğa ulaşan, bir mimarın zihnine ve çalışmasına benzersiz bir bakış açısı sunmaktadır. Çeşitli düzeydeki ihtiyaçlar göz önüne alınarak yaşanan yerin dekore edilmesi, neredeyse ilk çağlardan beri süregelen bir insan etkinliğidir. Bu ihtiyaçlar üzerinden düşünüldüğünde, mekanları kaplayan her bir ögenin bir işlevi olduğu rahatlıkla söylenebilir. Bu işlev, yaşantıyı sürdürmek için gerekli temel ihtiyaçların yanında, manevi bir ihtiyaç olarak da varolabilir. Bu niteliğiyle de insanı insan yapan, psikolojisi üzerinde doğrudan etkide bulunan bir alternatif dünya oluşturur. Bu bakımdan, konu kapsamında, insanın tinsel ihtiyacına cevap veren, sanat eserlerinin yaşam alanındaki işlevi: “sanatsal işlev” ve ‘’mekanda denge’’ olarak ele alınmış ve incelenmiştir. Çeşitli boyutlarda ve renklerde eserlerin bulunması ve malzeme farklılığı içermesi açısından konuya uygun bir önek olabileceği düşünüldüğünden araştırma konusu olarak seçilen yaşam alanı, yazarın kendi yaşadığı Ankara / Gölbaşı’nda bulunan evi olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda, yaşam alanı içerisinde sergilenen sanat eserlerinin mimari prensipler ile ele alınarak tasarımda dengenin önemine örnek olması hedeflenmiştir.

Abstract
Doing architecture offers a unique perspective on the mind and work of an architect, starting from the foundations of the profession and culminating with the production of a scaled site model. Decorating the living place, taking into account the needs at various levels, is a human activity that has been going on since ancient times. Considering these needs, it can be easily said that each element covering the spaces has a function. This function can exist as a spiritual need as well as the basic needs necessary to sustain life. With this feature, it creates an alternative world that makes people human and has a direct impact on their psychology. In this respect, within the scope of the subject, the function of works of art in the field of life, which responds to the spiritual need of people, has been discussed and examined as "artistic function" and "balance in space". Since it is thought that it can be a suitable prefix for the subject in terms of the presence of works in various sizes and colors and the difference in materials, the living space chosen as the research subject was determined as the house of the author in Ankara / Gölbaşı, where he lived. It is aimed to be in the project exhibited on the architectural project in the works exhibited in the living area related to the study.
