Abstract
Bu çalışma, J. S. Bach’ın klavsen için yazdığı ancak günümüzde piyano repertuvarında önemli bir yeri olan altı Fransız Süitlerinden 4. süit üzerine bir inceleme sunmaktadır. Çalışmada, yabancı ve Türkçe kaynaklardan yararlanılmıştır. Eser, piyanistik açıdan değerlendirilmiş olup, yorumculara ve klavye öğrencilerine katkı sağlamayı amaçlanmıştır. Öncelikle, Fransız Süitlerinin genel yapısı, eğitimdeki önemi ve Fransız isminin nereden geldiği gibi konular üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu süiti oluşturan 7 bölüm tek tek yorumlanarak çalışma son bulmuştur. Hangi dönemde bestelenmiş olursa olsun bir eserin geçmişini bilmek, icracının yorumunun şekillenmesine büyük katkı sağlar. Bestecinin eserde nasıl bir müzikal yapı kullandığı, izlediği armonik yolu, idealinde nasıl bir icra bulundurduğu gibi soruları cevaplandırmak icracıya yararlı olacaktır. Süitler, birbirini izleyen dans bölümlerinden oluşur. Her dans bölümünün kendine has karakteri vardır. Bölümlerin yorumlanmasında müzikal, stilistik ve tekniksel sorunlar karşımıza çıkar. Bu sebeplerden yola çıkarak J. S. Bach’ın Fransız Süitleri ve BWV 815 Mi Bemol Majör Süitin İcra Analizi konulu araştırmanın icracılar için yararlı olacağı düşünülmüştür.

Abstract
This study presents a review of the 4th suite, one of the six French Suites, written by J. S. Bach for harpsichord but has an important place in the piano repertoire today. In the study, foreign and Turkish sources were used. The work has been evaluated pianistically and aims to contribute to the performers and keyboard students. Firstly, the general structure of the French Suites, their importance in education and where the French name comes from, is emphasized. The study end by interpreting the 7 sections that make up this suite one by one. No matter what period it was composed, knowing the backround of a work, it makes a great contribution to the interpretation of the performer. It will be useful for the performer to answer questions such as what kind of musical structure and the harmonic path the composer uses in the work, what kind of performance composers has in her ideal. Suites consist of successive dance sections. Each dance episode has its own character. Musical, stylistic and technical problems arise in the interpretation of each episode. Based on these reasons, it is thought that the research on J. S. Bach's French Suites and Performance Analysis of the BWV 815 E Flat Major Suite will be useful for the performers.
