Korku ve gerilim de bu duygular içerisinde yer almaktadır. Hayatın her alanında kendini gösteren korku ve gerilim unsurları, yine hayatın her alanını ele alma yeteneği ile bilinen sinemada kendini göstermeyi başarmıştır. Korku, gerilim ve sinema kelimeleri aynı cümle içinde geçtiği zaman akıllara ilk gelen yönetmen Alfred Hitchcock olabilmektedir. Hitchcock bu duyguları sinemasında oldukça iyi bir şekilde kullanmıştır. Sinemasının temeline korku ve gerilimi yerleştiren ünlü yönetmen, kariyeri boyunca bu doğrultuda ilerlemiş ve unutulmaz filmlere imza atmıştır.
