İlk Yardım Kavramına İlişkin Metaforik Algılarının Belirlenmesi: Kocaeli Üniversitesi Hereke Ö.İ.U MYO Örneği

Abstract
Makalenin amacı ilk yardım kavramına ilişkin metaforik algılarının üniversite öğrencileri perspektifinden belirlenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Hereke Ömer İsmet Uzunyol MYO’da Muhasebe ve Vergi Uygulamaları programı ile İnsan Kaynakları programlarında 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim döneminde okuyan 1 ve 2 sınıf 52 öğrenci oluşturmakta olup öğrenciler çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılmışlardır. Araştırma kapsamında öğrencilerden “İlk Yardım Önemlidir. Çünkü......”, “İlk Yardım......... Etki Eder. cümlelerini tamamlamaları istenmiş olup öğrencilere metafor cümlesi içeren form yazılı olarak verilmiştir. 1. soru olan “İlk Yardım Önemlidir. Çünkü......”, kavramına 52 öğrenciden, 17 öğrencinin “hayat kurtarır” şeklinde , 2 öğrencinin “hayati önem taşır”, 33 öğrencinin ise tabloda belirtildiği şekilde farklı cevaplar verdiği ayrıca Çünkü kısmına ise ayrı bir cevap vermedikleri görülmüştür. 2 soru olan “İlk Yardım....... Etki Eder. kavramına ise çalışmaya katılan 49 öğrenciden 9 öğrencinin “hayata etki eder, 40 öğrencinin ise birbirinden farklı cevaplar verdikleri “Çünkü” kavramına ise “5 öğrencinin Hayat Kurtarır”, 2 öğrencinin “hayatta tutar” 42 öğrencinin ise birbirinden farklı cevaplar verdikleri görülmüştür. Ankete katılanların her iki soruda, toplamda 101 metafor ürettikleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçları öğrencilerin ilk yardımın önemi hususunda farkındalıkları olduğu yönündedir.

Abstract
The article aims to determine the symbolic perceptions of the concept of first aid from the perspective of university students. The sample of the study consisted of 52 students studying in the Accounting and Tax Applications program and Human Resources programs at Hereke Ömer İsmet Uzunyol Vocational School in the 2023-2024 academic year, and the students voluntarily participated in the study. Within the scope of the research, students were asked to answer the questions "First Aid is Important. Because......", "First Aid......... The students were asked to complete the sentences and the form containing metaphor sentences was given to the students in writing. Question 1, "First Aid is Important. Because......", it was seen that 17 students gave different answers to the concept of "saves lives", 2 students gave different answers to the concept of "saves lives", 2 students gave different answers to the concept of "vital importance", 33 students gave different answers as stated in the table, and they did not give a separate answer to the Because part. 2 questions "First Aid....... It was seen that 9 students out of 49 students participating in the study gave different answers to the concept of "It affects life", 40 students gave different answers to the concept of "Because", 5 students gave different answers to the concept of "It saves lives", 2 students gave different answers to the concept of "It saves lives" and 42 students gave different answers to the concept of "Because". It was determined that the participants produced 101 metaphors in both questions. The results of the research indicate that students are aware of the importance of first aid.
