Abstract
Liderlik kavramı, insanlığın var oluşundan itibaren mevcut olan kavramlardan birisidir. İnsanların bir arada yaşama ihtiyaçlarından doğan liderlik kavramı, hayatın her aşamasında tartışılan ve üzerinde araştırmalar yapılan bir konu olmaktadır. Liderlik üzerine yapılan tanımlar incelendiğinde, liderin grup içinde bir kişi olduğu, grup için amaç belirlediği, grup davranışları üzerinde etkili olduğu, grubu yönlendirdiği, grubun amaçlarıyla üyelerin amaçlarını uzlaştırdığı ve bunları da değerlendirdiği görülmektedir. Günümüze kadar yönetim alanında yapılan çalışmalar, liderlik ve liderlik rollerine farklı bakış açıları ve tanımlamalar getirmişlerdir. Liderlik konusu, yönetim alanında araştırma yapan bilim adamları çok yoğun olarak çalıştıkları bir konu olmuştur. Liderlik konusunda 3000’den fazla ampirik araştırma yapılmıştır Bu çalışmada liderlik tanımı ve kuramları incelenerek Yorumlanmıştır.

Abstract
The concept of leadership is one of the concepts that has existed since the existence of humanity. The concept of leadership, which arises from the needs of people to live together, is a subject that is discussed and researched at every stage of life. When the definitions on leadership are examined, it is seen that the leader is a person in the group, sets goals for the group, is effective on group behavior, directs the group, reconciles the goals of the group with the goals of the members and evaluates them as well. Studies conducted in the field of management until today have brought different perspectives and definitions to leadership and leadership roles. The subject of leadership has been a subject that scientists who do research in the field of management work very intensively. More than 3000 empirical studies have been conducted on leadership. In this study, the definition and theories of leadership have been examined and interpreted.
