Abstract
Görme, dünyaya gözlerin açılmasından itibaren çevreyi tanımada en önemli duyumsama yoludur. Bu duyumsama sanatın her alanında, akımlarında kendini gösterir. Sanattaki eklenmeler, bozulmalar, başkalaşımlar ve yaklaşımlar sanatta olası/olması gereken süreci beraberinde getirir. Bu sürecin en önemli sebebi farklı bakışların, farklı görme şekillerinin olmasıdır. Sanat tarihi bu süreçlerle örülüdür.
Bozuluş sanatı olarak da adlandırılan Barok bu sürecin en önemli parçalarındandır. Üslupta ve resimde olan değişim, defarmasyonun ön planda olması, sade geri plan, insan merkezli çalışmalar, karanlıkçılığın sorgulanmasına ek ışığın etkinliği, kalın fırça darbeleriyle oluşan kütlesel boya kullanımı Barok sanatını en iyi şekilde tanımlar. Alışılagelen yaklaşımların (Rönesans zamanı) değişimi Barok ile otaya çıkan dışavurumcu tavırlar Barok sanatçılarının ilerici bir bakışta olduğunu gösterir. Bu dışavurumcu değişimin en önemli sanatçılarından biri olan ışık ve boyayı etkili kullanan Rembrandt’dır.
Işığı ve boyayı özgürce işleyen boyayı kütlesel kullanımına ek ışık kullanımındaki keskin biçimlendirmeleri ile resimlerinde Rembrandt ile eşleşen/buluşan Frank Auerbach 20.yüzyılın yaşayan ressamlarındandır.
Aralarında üç asır bulunan bu iki sanatçının resimlerinde kullandıkları tarzlar, teknikler, farklı dönem ve yılların sanatçıları olmalarına rağmen onları bir araya getiren bu iki sanatçının ışık ve boya ilişkisi üzerinden yaptıkları resimlerdir.

Sight is the most important way of sensing in recognizing the environment, starting from the opening of the eyes to the world. This sensation manifests itself in every field and movement of art. Additions, distortions, metamorphoses and approaches in art bring along the possible/necessary process in art. The most important reason for this process is that there are different perspectives and different ways of seeing. Art history is woven with these processes.
Baroque, also called the art of corruption, is one of the most important parts of this process. The change in style and painting, the foreground of deformation, the plain background, human-centered works, the effectiveness of light in addition to the questioning of darkism, the use of massive paint with thick brush strokes define Baroque art in the best way. The change of conventional approaches (Renaissance time) The expressionist attitudes that emerged with the Baroque show that Baroque artists have a progressive view. One of the most important artists of this expressionist change is Rembrandt, who effectively uses light and paint.
Frank Auerbach, who works with light and paint freely, is one of the living painters of the 20th century, who matched / meet with Rembrandt in her paintings with her sharp formations in the use of light in addition to the use of mass.
Although they are artists of different periods and years, the styles and techniques used by these two artists, who are three centuries apart, are the paintings made by these two artists based on the relationship between light and paint, which brings them together.
