Abstract

Abstract

One of the elements of the debaters of these democratic regimes is the political party, the conflict areas and controversies of real personalities with the principles and values of freedom and “democracy”. In essence, with the departure of democracy, the ideal of self-sacrifice is rising or getting excited as the north march. The political center, as the electoral brightest education of democracy, it is the main institutional actor in general. In elections, they shape the choices of two areas, one in the target in the election plans. In this study, the political discourses and approaches of the Party for Freedom (Partij Voor de Vrijheid-PVV) and its leader Geert Wilders are evaluated of primary importance in the context of democracy and freedom. Thus, this study also criticizes the contradictions with the democratic qualities of political parties in the example of PVV. At this point, it has been determined that the relevant political party and its leader, while considering some social groups in the Netherlands in the context of their ethnic or religious affiliation, basically follow the policy of transforming legitimate identities into radical identities. This process has risen in two frameworks, both identity conflict and identity radicalization. These determinations were discussed in a supportive way with a more concrete discourse analysis through one of Wilders’ social media accounts.
