PANDEMİ DÖNEMİNDE TÜRKİYE'YE GELEN TURİSTLERİN ZİYARET NEDENLERİNİN DEĞİŞİMİ VE KARŞILAŞTIRMALI ANALİZİ

Abstract
Bu çalışmada 2019 yılının Aralık ayında Çin'in Hubei eyaletinin en büyük şehri olan Wuhan'da ortaya çıkan ve yeni tip koronavirüs (kovid-19) olarak adlandırılan virüsün Türkiye'ye gelen yabancı ziyaretçilerin geliş nedenleri üzerindeki sayısal etkisi incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu (TÜİK) tarafından yayınlanan "Geliş Nedenine Göre Çıkış Yapan Ziyaretçiler" başlığı altında yayınlanan veri seti kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 ve 2021 yıllarının ilk çeyreğine ait yabancı ziyaretçi sayıları esas alınmış ve yıllara göre meydana gelen oransal değişimler ziyaret nedenleri bakımından değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; gezi, eğlence, sportif ve kültürel faaliyet, akraba ve arkadaş ziyareti, eğitim ve staj, sağlık ve tıbbi nedenler, dini nedenler, alışveriş ve iş nedenleri ile Türkiye'ye gelen yabancı turist sayısında özellikle 2021 yılının ilk çeyreğinde ciddi düşüşlerin yaşandığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmada; Türkiye'ye gelen yabancı turist sayısındaki azalış oranının ise en çok "alışveriş" ve "gezi, eğlence, sportif ve kültürel faaliyetler" gibi nedenler ile yapılan ziyaretlerde olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Abstract
In this study, the numerical effect of the virus, which emerged in Wuhan, the largest city of China's Hubei province, in December 2019 and called novel coronavirus (covid-19), on the reasons for foreign visitors to come to Turkey was tried to be examined. The data set published by the Turkish Statistical Institute under the heading "Visitors Departing According to the Reason of Arrival" was used in the study. In the research, the count of foreign visitors belonging to the first quarter of 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 was taken as a basis and the proportional changes that occurred over the years were tried to be evaluated in terms of the reasons for the visit. As a result of the research; It has been determined that the count of foreign tourists coming to Turkey for trips, entertainment, sporting and cultural activities, visiting relatives and friends, education and internship, health and medical reasons, religious reasons, shopping and business reasons, especially in the first quarter of 2021, has been seriously decreasing. Also in the research; It is concluded that the rate of decrease in the count of foreign tourists coming to Turkey is mostly in the visits made for "shopping" and "sightseeing, entertainment, sports and cultural activities".
