Organizational power relations, due to their complex nature, have been regarded as a research area which needs to be taken into account with high attention and is multi-dimensional. In research literature, there are articles which investigate organizational power resources, power types and relations among various types of power and other variables. However, the number of researches investigating different institutional types, organizational power games or strategies for establishing power in higher education levels seems to be inadequate. In this respect, the need to determine common and differentiating aspects has aroused by evaluating theses written in the field of education and expanding on the key words of organizational power. As a result of the research, it has been observed that the number of researches done on organizational power are far less than expected and the focus of these theses seem to be of a very narrow point-of-view.
